Hello I'm Ed Rigel,
owner of Applegate Lapidary. I am 3rd generation
in the lapidary field. I was born and raised in Oregon;
digging before I could walk. I dig, collect and also
purchase collections from around the world. I do all my
own cutting and polishing (to a mirror finish) in my shop.
I am one of only two people who have successfully imported
petrified wood from Zimbabwe, Africa. I have wood
specimens from Arizona, Blue Forest Wyoming, Hubbard Basin
Nevada, Humboldt Nevada, Tuscarora Nevada, Elko Nevada,
McDermitt Oregon, Utah, Cycad and Zimbabwe, Africa. If you
have any questions or are looking for any rare wood
